In order to eliminate this Benjamin Lindsey from our Benjamin Lindsey I had to know the date of his death. I found his grave and family group in Troup County, Georgia. We also had to eliminate the other Benjamin Lindseys in Georgia.

LINDSAY, Rebecca, 20, daughter of Jacob and Pheba Lindsay of Jones County, died
10 February, 1844. (12 March, 1844)

Tuesday, February 6, 1840
DIED: On Tuesday, the 2nd ultimo, at the residence of Jacob Lindsay, in Jones
County, his son Jesse Lindsay, of Tallapoosa County, alabama, aged 30 years, 5
months, and 7 days.
Although seriously indisposed with a severe cold, he left his
home with his wife and infant son to spend the Christmas holidays with their
parents in Jones and Jasper counties. His illness increased on the road,
and when he reached his fathers, he had to be carried into the house, where he
lingered until released from his sufferings by death, leaving a large circle of
friends and relatives to mourn their loss.-(Source: SR)
