Why should you list with us? Why should you invite us to visit and review your hunting lodge, fishing boat, inn, restaurant, vineyard, or goat farm?
Years ago, I had a dream to introduce to the world the cottage products created by talented Southerners who could not afford a mortar and bricks kind of store. I was ahead of my time then and I acquiesced to my mother's request that I do a bit of genealogy and make the money they had spent on my education worthwhile. She created a monster. Each line became a mystery and I wanted to find out more! Ergo the Genealogy Notebook, my notes, that I shared with others returning the favor that others had given me. Southern Style genealogy and Southern Wedding garnered quite a following and when someone emailed me telling me how many referrals she got off one single page on my website tipped me off to the fact that the website had more potential.
In the meantime, Internet business burgeoned and Etsy and EBay filled a niche that I had even then envisioned. However, their success had also created a problem. How does one actually KNOW what lies below the surface of that huge ocean of stores that popped up? Who tells their story? That is what I plan to do here under the Umbrella of Southern Style where the best of the South will have its tale told with links from the articles to draw folks who just want to come and enjoy our online magazine. We will link from the articles to the stores that list with us. We will write off the farms, vineyards, and gardens that provide the Restaurants of Excellence with their produce, the sports that keep us revved up and the social events that make us happy, artisans that make heirloom furniture, clothing, linens and textiles, items I cannot even imagine but I look forward to hearing about.. With tales of the South's resident ghosts thrown in for a little spice.
Our Main Street Shops will display the best of the South. Our Classified section will be a great place for you to list single items that don't quite find their niche in one of the Main Street Shops.
