  Social Activities for 2009

Patti Leavins and Sharman Ramsey
Co-Chairpersons

Malinda needs a break as our Social Chairman and Patti and I offered to help.  Our plan is to get more of us involved.  It takes a village they say.  So, villagers we're looking forward to developing more of our sense of community and ask for our different Floors to take a month and sponsor an event.  It is your decision what we will do.

Patti and I  see the involvement of residents on the different floors as a form of security.  We need to know our neighbors.  Those listed are just some names that I am aware for whom I think I can match a face.  That is sad.  We want to meet you.  We need to know who "belongs" within our gates.  Circle the First weekend of the Month and plan to join us.  If you don't find your name on the list, that doesn't mean you're not needed in the planning.  You know, you only get out of something what you put into it...and we've all invested  A LOT in our condos.  Our involvement can only enhance our investment.

Planners may choose from any day that weekend... Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.  Hosts may choose to organize an event in the community room, activity in the garden (games or Easter Egg Hunt, cookout, scavenger hunt, chili cook-off, whatever) or organize Dutch suppers at local restaurants.  These events will be featured on our website with recipes.  You are encouraged to tap into your creativity and pick up the gauntlet.  The competition is on between our floors.  Who are our most talented cooks and creative entertainers?

Each Floor Hosts 1 event.
Social Committee hosts 6 events.

The First Friday of the Month at 4 PM is the
Harbour Village Social Club's  Dutch Social
"Tea and Talk" at St. Andrews Coffee
Shop.

Call by Thursday to let Linda know
you will be coming and what you will
order.  She makes her scones fresh
and needs to know how many to make.

Please do not wait for a formal invitation.  We are
human and often slip up in being as forthcoming and
welcoming as we should be.
