Note from the Editor:
Southern-style is about to acquire a new face and purpose. We're about to become Southern-style Magazine and Main Street. Please share with us your own tales and pictures of tailgating, social events, recipes, festivals... to help us tell folks around the world what makes Southerners just who we are and why we have such a doggone good time --what makes our little part of the world so very special. Send us pictures and tell us what makes your festival, family reunion, fund raiser, gala, wedding, college and university, sport, art, craft, home design, food or confection special. Invite us to your unique inn, fishing boat, hunting lodge, or historical site so that we might tell folks about you and hook folks up with a visit through our site. Know any good ghost stories? We love a good tale and would like to let others in on it too!
Our dream is to sell the South rush-bottom chair and hand-sewn dress to Kentucky Derby hat and Mint Julep. the American South is the Provence of the United States. We want to share with the world the cachet of our beloved South, featuring all that makes us unique -- our foods, designs, hobbies, homes, products, history, people, places, activities in one place. We won't just offer items to purchase. We are Southerners. We have a story and Southern-style wants to tell it. And we hope folks will want to come and visit our part of the world once they learn more about us!
We plan to use this spot to highlight monthly features that have been added to Southern-style and link from our articles directly into Main Street where a storefront is in the works to make items available for purchase in the categories listed on the right of this page. If you would like to participate, please contact me.

Weddings everywhere are family affairs. Each one takes on a new dimension just because of the people involved. In our Southern Weddings section, I share general information that I learned while planning weddings for my daughters. Mary Andrews, formal wear designer and wedding expert, brings us articles about weddings and formal events from her years of experience. She will also answer questions. We feature a variety of Southern Weddings -- from a destination wedding at Middleton Gardens to an Elopement wedding at the Botanical Gardens in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Please send us your story and your wedding. Brides across the country and the world would love to know the who, what, when and where of your wedding. We will select some to feature. Ask the folks who helped you if they would like to be mentioned and they are welcome to list with us. Thousands of people from around the world visit this website monthly and they would love to benefit from your experience.
