The home has high ceilings with beautiful deep molding in the living and dining rooms, hardwood and pine floors and tile bathrooms. $382,500 This beautiful home on the Azalea Trail in the Garden District of Dothan, Alabama, was built by Robert and Hilda Ramsey in 1950-51 with plans by Jerome Robert Cerny, a Chicago architect. Local landscape designer Lawton Dye advised the Ramseys on the placement of the house on the lot, perhaps the most critical element enhancing the home. Hilda Ramsey enjoyed gardening and was later helped by Luke Scott in giving the garden structure with camellias, azaleas, and sasanquas. A sprinkler system irrigates the entire property. A wicker swing is the perfect place to watch the world go by on the balcony that stretches the length of the main body of the house. So...here's a glimpse of the house and its interior. This home is for sale by owner so contact Joel Ramsey about making an appointment to see the home. |
Library This Library fireplace was designed by Jim Veazey and a Panama City artist painted the insert. |

| The Kitchen is the heart of the home, bright and cheerful with open European shelving (doors are stored in case buyer prefers using them), a pot-filler faucet over the stove, and a handy beverage bar. | The Family Room is a large room with Delft tiled fireplace with gas logs and expansive book shelves. An unusual stained glass window is on the opposite wall. Three large closets add storage to the room, with one especially set up for wrapping presents. |
The Formal Dining Room also boasts a bay window and is a large, lovely airy room for dinner parties. |

| Pool and Patio | Another acre back lot is not included at this time, but may be negotiated for should the potential buyer so desire. | The Living room is the site of formal gatherings...and the Christmas tree! The community expects to see it in its place in the bay window sparkling with lights during the Christmas season. The wide molding adds an elegant accent to the 9 foot ceilings . |
